Metropolitan Birmingham Services for the Homeless:
Support MBSH by eating at California Pizza Kitchen at the Summit on Tuesday, March 16. Twenty percent of your meal price will be donated to MBSH. The donations will go to Project Homeless Connect. NOTE: You must take a flyer with you to the restaurant and present it to your server in order for a portion of your bill to be donated to MBSH. United Way:

Young Women's Empowerment Conference:
The deadline for applying to the Young Women's Empowerment Conference 2010. "A Celebration of Extraordinary Young Women" has been extended to March 15th! If you know a teen girl who may be interested in hearing dynamic professional women and meeting other upwardly bound teen girls in the Birmingham area, please have them apply for this day of education, entertainment and empowerment! There will be bbooths with great information and opportunities and door prizes! Plus free lunch provided by All That Matters Catering Service!

Adults: Please recommend teen girls for our awards if they have shown leadership in the following areas: community service (giving back), entrepreneurship (starting/owning a business or organization), empowerment (uplifting and encouraging others), arts and entertainment (dance, poetry, etc.) or sports (volleyball, basketball, etc.). Recommendation applications are also due MARCH 15th!
