I would like to alert you to an exciting opportunity for women in the Birmingham area. The YWCA has launched an electronic advocacy network called "Eleanor's eTree" via funding support from The Women's Fund and the Junior League of Birmingham. You can visit the web site at <A Href="Http://www.e-etree.org">www.e-etree.org</A>. The eTree is an Internet advocacy site that allows Alabama women to be heard on women's and children's issues such as domestic violence, foster care, etc. By entering their zip code and clicking the mouse, women can respond to "action alerts" and send their comments to legislators regarding pending legislation affecting women and children. With your help, we'll reach women throughout Birmingham and the state. I am a firm believer in the collective power of women's voices.
